But what does man actually do when he puts himself under a knife for a greater sexual organ? How does a doctor make the penis longer and thicker? And how painful is such an operation?
Extension and thickening in one session
"A penis enlargement usually consists of two interventions: the penis lengthening and the thickening of the penis," explains Axel Birnbacher, co-worker at the German Center for Urology and Phalloplastic Surgery . "Both are carried out in a surgical session."An extension of the male limb reaches plastic surgeons in most cases by a so-called "body displacement plastic". As the name suggests, the male corpus cavernosa is displaced to the outside. This means that the part of the penis, which is bent in the inside of the body, is retrieved - and automatically straightened.
"On average, this results in an extension of about two to six centimeters," says Birnbacher. However, all this is rare. He had seen an increase of nine centimeters in one operation, but this was an absolute exception.
Old method lengthened penis not really
Self-lubrication by syringe provides more volume
With a long limb, however, only a few are satisfied, who want "more bottom": "Longer 'alone is generally not sufficient for the patient - understandable, the proportions have to be finally correct," explains Dr. Paul Edelmann, Specialist in Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery in Frankfurt. That's why most of them would choose a penis thickening in addition to penis lengthening."In order for the penis to become thicker, we usually inject the fat that we have removed from the thigh or the abdomen," explains Edelmann. The body fat of the patient is then sprayed at several points along the shaft. In general, a little more fat must be used than is actually required, since the body of it is about half of it. So if you want to reach a thickening of half a centimeter, the doctor should first inject as much as is necessary for a whole centimeter.
Ready for use again after five weeks
Normally the patients are in a general anesthesia during the entire procedure. Sometimes, however, the doctors use only a local anesthetic. "Then the patients are additionally sedated, that is, put into a sleepy sleep," says Edelmann.Axel Birnbacher says: "The best part is to be done after about five weeks. You can not control the patients, of course. However, in order to prevent the penis from shortening during the healing process (for example due to scarring), Birnbacher recommends in some cases a post-OP stretcher.
